JSServices grew out of the CME trading floor as a technical “level” service offered to local pit traders. Technical Price levels, which at the time in the early 1980’s where written out on a trading card, provided a “map” for the session of anticipated price action. The service grew out of the Interest Rate market into the Currencies and Equity Indices which allowed it to expand into the institutional execution desks supporting bank traders and fund managers. Before the world wideweb, emerging futures markets at the LIFFE and EUREX received a daily fax. The 1990’s ushered in one of the largest stock market bull runs with two key developments; the world wide web and retail electronic execution trading platforms. The world wide web allowed for global access to JSServices Analytics through a secure website and the sophistication in affordable trading platforms created a high demand for JSServices Analytics. Equity day-traders began subscribing to the JSServices SP500 “PriceMap” levels to use as a confluence indicator for their stock trades. Soon requests for PriceMap analysis on 100’s of stock names came in which provided the spark that enabled JSServices to keep growing.
As the popularity of the PriceMap levels grew, a need was recognized for a new type of solution, that was not a predictive model of when to buy or sell, but rather a factual solution that identified what the current market condition “is”. MarketColor was created in 1997 for technical observers of price action to gauge the current state of the market. Color-coding and technical ranking of the findings provided an “at a glance” solution to identify opportunity. Over time it became evident that the MarketColor Bias or state characteristics formed the primary technical foundation of the trade period, and the technical “PriceMap” levels became a secondary function that defined structure of the state which forecast the expected price action.
By analyzing the dynamic between the state and structure inherent strategy themes became apparent. In 2010 the PlayBook Analytics where created that formally defined the inherent strategy themes that represented optimal opportunities as well as “transitional” hedge strategies. The PlayBook is a comprehensive fact based analytic which provides the appropriate strategies to take full advantage of every market state its structure and the potential transitions.
It took over 30 years to develop our STATE, STRUCTURE and STRATEGY Analytics but you can start leveraging them today!
